About
Built in the Northwest.
Spence is a healthcare consultant based in Portland, Oregon, working at the point where clinical reality meets business decisions — from guiding internationally educated nurses through licensure and immigration, to helping health products get designed so clinicians actually use them.
His experience in the healthcare field dates back to 2015 and spans clinical care, nursing care, clinical research, and translational research. That range — the bedside, the study protocol, and the bench-to-clinic pipeline — means advice grounded in how care is actually delivered, not how it looks on a whiteboard.
Alongside clinical work he builds web products, so he can speak to engineers and charge nurses in the same meeting. If that mix fits your problem, book a consult.

Consults
Work with me.
Four ways in. Every engagement starts with a free 20-minute call — we scope the work and price it together before anything is committed.
Visa guidance for international nurses
A clear pathway from foreign license to US placement: NCLEX prep sequencing, credential evaluation, VisaScreen, and employer matching. I’m a consultant, not an attorney — legal filings belong with a licensed immigration attorney, and I’ll help you sequence around them.
Product design & clinical viability
Usability and viability reviews of health products through a clinician’s eyes — before you spend on a build or a pilot that the floor staff will reject.
Health-tech & automation advisement
Which tools to adopt, which to skip, and how to integrate automation into clinical and admin workflows without breaking the ones that work.
Market analysis for health & wellness founders
A targeted read on your market: who actually pays, what the regulatory landscape allows, and the niche where you win. Delivered as a written brief plus a working session.
Tell me where you’re stuck.
Two sentences is plenty — a visa timeline, a product question, a market you’re eyeing. I reply within one business day.
Every message lands directly with me — no assistants, no forms into the void.
